Pastor Henry R. Moncur, a native of Nassau, is the last of three children born to Henry and Naomi Moncur. Presently he serves as the Pastor of the Freeport, Eight Mile Rock and West End Seventh-day Adventist Churches, as well as the Executive Secretary, Community Services and Stewardship Director of the North Bahamas Conference of Seventh-day Adventists headquartered in Freeport, Grand Bahama. He also serves as a Chaplain for the Rand Memorial Hospital in Grand Bahama and as a member of the Executive Committee of the Seventh-day Adventist Church Administrative region in the Atlantic Caribbean covering the territories of the Bahamas, Cayman Islands and Turks and Caicos, headquartered in Nassau, Bahamas.
Pastor Moncur loves speaking, reading, computers, traveling, dominoes and most importantly, sharing the word of God. he is married to the former Shiann Wood, a Human Resources Senior Generalist with the Bahamas Oil Refining Company. He and his wife Shiann, have two lovely daughters, Roġanne who is 9 years old and La'Krystal who is 1 year old.
He received his undergraduate education at Walla Walla College in Washington State, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Magna Cum Laude, with minors in Mathematics and Physics. He received his Master of Divinity degree, Summa Cum Laude, at Andrews University Seventh-day Adventist Theological Seminary in Berrien Springs, Michigan. Presently he is studying for his Doctoral degree at Andrews University in Michigan.
Pastor Moncur’s work in ministry has taken him throughout the Bahamas, Jamaica and to the United States, and to Eastern Africa, for numerous speaking engagements and seminars.
Pastor Moncur’s favoutite text is Jeremiah 29:11: My plans for your future has always been filled with hope. His objective is helping people to value and understand the importance of their relationship with God so as to improve their quality of life.
